Terms of use

These terms govern your use of Task Tamer — the Android app and the web app — provided by MAUJr.

In force since 30.09.2026. Applies to Task Tamer from version 1.1.0 of the Android app, and to the web app from the same date.

In short

The essentials before the full text.

  • What you write is yours. We do not use it for advertising or to train models.
  • The free plan has limits and ads in the Android app; Premium removes ads and raises the limits.
  • Premium is bought through Google Play, in the Android app. The web app is free for 7 days and then part of Premium.
  • Cancel in Google Play whenever you like; nothing you wrote is ever deleted because Premium ended.
  • The assistant's answers can be wrong: check anything that matters.

Task Tamer is provided by MAUJr. By creating an account or using the app, you accept these terms. How we handle your information is set out in the Privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

The service

Task Tamer is a checklist and task manager: lists, sections, tasks, folders, tags, notes, attachments, reminders, work shifts, metrics, a Deep Focus mode, a private Vault and an AI assistant, synchronised between the Android app and the web app at app.maujr.com, on the same account.

We may improve, change or discontinue features. If we remove something you pay for, or change the service in a way that materially affects you, we will tell you in advance in the app.

Your account

You must be at least 16 years old to use Task Tamer. Give accurate information and keep your sign-in credentials to yourself: you are responsible for what is done through your account.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion is held for 30 days, during which you can sign in and keep it; after that it is permanent. Deleting your account does not cancel a Google Play subscription; cancel it in Google Play.

Your content

What you write and attach is yours. You give MAUJr only the permission needed to store, sync, back up and display it to you and — when you ask the assistant — to send the relevant list to the model provider to answer you. We do not use your content for advertising or to train models.

Keep your own copies of anything important: the app lets you export everything at any time.

Acceptable use

Do not use Task Tamer to: break the law, or store or share content that is illegal or infringes others' rights; attempt to access other people's accounts or data, or bypass the app's security, including App Check and reCAPTCHA; use automated programs or modified clients against the service, or circumvent plan limits such as the assistant's monthly allowance or the attachment limit; overload, disrupt or reverse-engineer the service beyond what the law allows; or use the assistant to produce content that is unlawful or harmful.

We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these rules, after notice where the situation allows.

The assistant

The assistant's answers are generated automatically and may be wrong or incomplete. Check anything that matters before relying on it. The assistant acts on your lists only when you ask it to. Each plan has a monthly allowance of requests, and requests are rate-limited to protect the service.

Free plan and Premium

  • Free planThe full app, with these limits: the assistant, 20 requests per month; attachments, 20 stored at a time; no image annotation; no new cloud backups (local export and restoring existing backups stay free); ads in the Android app; and the web app for 7 days from account creation
  • PremiumNo ads; the assistant, 200 requests per month; unlimited attachments; image annotation; cloud backup to your own Google Drive or OneDrive; and the web app with no time limit

Buying. Premium is a monthly or yearly subscription sold through Google Play in the Android app, at the price shown in the app in your currency before you confirm. The web app does not sell subscriptions: to keep using it after the 7 days, subscribe in the Android app — Premium bought there applies to the web app on the same account. Payment is taken by Google Play on Google Play's terms; MAUJr never receives your payment details.

Free trial. When Google Play offers a free trial, you are not charged during it; unless you cancel before it ends, the subscription starts and is charged. Cancelling during a trial ends Premium at once.

Renewal and cancellation. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until cancelled. You cancel in Google Play — the app links to it from Settings → Plan. After cancelling, Premium continues until the end of the period already paid, and does not renew.

Payment problems. If a renewal payment fails, Google Play may give a grace period during which Premium continues while payment is retried; the app will tell you. If it is not resolved, Premium ends.

When Premium ends, nothing you wrote is deleted. Premium-only features lock again; everything else keeps working on the free plan.

Refunds are handled by Google Play under its refund policy. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under consumer law, including any right of withdrawal that applies to you.

Changes to Premium. If we change the price or the content of Premium, we will tell you in advance. A price change applies from your next renewal, and Google Play will ask for your confirmation where it requires it.

Ads

The free plan of the Android app shows banner ads provided by Google AdMob, in a space of their own and never inside your lists. They are not personalised unless you choose so; in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google's consent message applies. Premium removes them. See the Privacy policy.

Security checks (App Check and reCAPTCHA)

To protect the service, requests are verified by Firebase App Check: Google Play Integrity in the Android app and Google reCAPTCHA v3 in the web app.

The web app is protected by reCAPTCHA, and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.

Requests that fail the check may be refused. If a legitimate use is blocked, write to us.

Third-party services

Task Tamer relies on services from Google (Firebase, Google Cloud, Google Play, AdMob, reCAPTCHA) and, if you use them, Microsoft, GitHub and Google for sign-in, and Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive for cloud backup. Your use of those services is also subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for their availability.

Availability

We work to keep Task Tamer available and your data safe, but the service is provided as it is and as available: there may be interruptions for maintenance, faults or causes beyond our control, and we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, MAUJr is not liable for indirect losses, lost profits or loss of data resulting from the use of the service, nor for decisions taken on the basis of the assistant's answers. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or your rights as a consumer.

Intellectual property

The app, its design, name and brand belong to MAUJr. These terms give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Task Tamer for as long as you have an account; they transfer no other rights.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we will tell you in the app before they take effect. If you do not agree, you can stop using the service and delete your account; continuing to use it after the effective date means you accept the new terms.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Portuguese law, without prejudice to the mandatory protection consumers enjoy under the law of the country where they live. Disputes go to the Portuguese courts, without prejudice to your right to go to the courts where you live when the law gives you that right.

Alternative dispute resolution. For a consumer dispute, you may turn to CNIACC — Centro Nacional de Informação e Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo (www.cniacc.pt). More information on the Portuguese Consumer Portal (www.consumidor.gov.pt).

Complaints book. You may file a complaint in the Portuguese electronic complaints book (www.livroreclamacoes.pt).
